Dana Gilbert is a native Mississippian. She holds a Master of Social Work from Jackson State University, where she received the Dean's Award and the Outstanding Academic Leadership Award. Dana also earned a Bachelor of Social Work from Delta State University, graduating with high honors and being inducted into the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society.
Dana is a highly skilled Licensed Certified Social Worker with over 20 years of experience in mental health and substance use disorder treatments using evidence-based psychotherapy to improve the lives of individuals struggling with mental health and addiction issues. Dana specializes in treating trauma, chronic pain, anxiety, and insomnia using specialized protocols such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR); Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for: Insomnia, Chronic Pain, and Substance Use Disorders; and Cognitive Processing Therapy.
Dana is licensed in Mississippi and an experienced LCSW supervisor for LMSWs seeking clinical licensure in Mississippi. She provides individual therapy for adults via telehealth or in person and offers night and weekend services. She is currently accepting new clients.
