Bennett Higginbotham, P-LPC

PROVISIONALLY-LICENSED PROFESSIONAL COUNSELOR

Bennett Higginbotham is a native of Madison, MS, and a graduate of Germantown High School. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Business from the University of Mississippi, where he was recognized on both the Chancellor's and Dean's Honor Rolls. He went on to obtain his Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Mississippi State University with honors and was selected as the Fall 2025 Outstanding Graduate Student Award recipient for the Division of Education at Mississippi State University–Meridian. Bennett completed his clinical internship at the University of Mississippi Medical Center (UMMC) through its Magnolia Scholars Program, gaining specialized experience in integrated behavioral health and pediatric care while receiving training and certification in Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT).

Bennett acts as a Provisional Licensed Professional Counselor (P-LPC) in Mississippi. He is experienced in treating children, adolescents, young adults, and families using evidence-based practices. His clinical focus includes using PCIT to address disruptive behaviors in young children and working with adolescents on the autism spectrum to enhance coping and social skills. He also utilizes an Existential-Humanistic perspective to treat anxiety and depressive symptoms, employing a biopsychosocial approach that supports both physical and mental well-being.
