Maria Rakhshan, PsyD

CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST

I am a clinical psychologist specializing in structured, evidence-based treatments designed to produce meaningful and lasting change. I received formal training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy from psychologists affiliated with the Beck Institute and utilize well-established approaches including CBT for anxiety and depression, CBT for insomnia (CBT-I), Cognitive Processing Therapy and Brief Prolonged Exposure Therapy for PTSD, and CBT for substance use disorders. In addition to psychotherapy, I conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to provide diagnostic clarity, evaluate complex symptom presentations, and guide precise treatment planning.

My work combines clinical rigor with genuine warmth and collaboration. Treatment is thoughtful, focused, and tailored to the individual—integrating careful assessment with evidence-based interventions. Together we identify the patterns underlying distress, develop effective strategies for change, and work toward measurable improvements in sleep, mood, trauma recovery, and overall psychological well-being.
